Hemlock New Plant Production Capacity Of 18,000 Tons / Year

Polysilicon giant, the United States Hemlock Jun.3 issued news. The new plant recently started production to meet the rapid growth of the semiconductor and solar industry needs. This makes the polysilicon Hemlock to expand production capacity almost doubled, reaching 18,000 tons / year.

Hemlock last year announced that 1.5 billion U.S. dollars investment to expand capacity for polysilicon. The new plant design capacity for 9,000 tons / year, enabling the company to the end of the 2008 production reached 19,000 tons and become the world's largest polysilicon producer.

Hemlock is breeds new expansion plan is expected to be put into production in 2010. The plan would allow the Hemlock in 2011 with an annual output reached 36,000 tons.
