Germany Q-Cells solar energy company recently announced plans to invest 5 billion ringgit (1.6 billion U.S. dollars) in Malaysia investment in building a new battery-manufacturing plant, the plant will be built in Malaysia, Selangor Science-Based Industrial Park, about 150 hectares of On the land area. The total investment is expected to 5 billion ringgit, a project will employ 800 to 900 participants.
Construction work is expected to be completed early next year, the second quarter of next year is expected to start operation, after the completion of the second phase project will require a total of 1,600 to 1,800 people. The highest overall capacity is expected to reach about 300 MW annually.
